Awaken to the sound of thunder in the night
quickly so I rise to my feet to see a light
unsure of what I have seen
studying staring from the window scene
curious to who it might be
my curiosity may be the end of me

approach closer I get a figure looms into sight
a fearful fright of pure anxiety
as a ghostly shape appear in front of me
large in size and extremely threatening
encumbered with fear unable to leave

born from chaos riddled with disease
she banished from her home never to be seen haunted by the plague she had lost everything even her child she could not feed
nothing was left but the hatred inside
a blackened heart pumping poison through her mind seeking revenge for the rest of her time by summoning children into the night

Screaming I fight her off with all my might
kicking desperate to escape I run from her sight
nearly eaten by a beast and died
I barely made it out with my life
almost becoming a feast for the flies
my soul intact making distance from the light
